vintage, dusty books do a happy girl make. last year, i put together this list of some of my favorite paris bookshops, but since then, this self-proclaimed bibliophile has happened upon a number of new venues that you'll want to visit.

vintage treasures: this summer was a summer of healing, after having broken a metatarsal bone in my foot. i've been traveling + gallivanting for four years as a healthy, happy vegan vagabond, but apparently i'm still my clumsy self, tripping on flat ground. some things never change.

i still walk as often and for as long as i can, often meeting new people along the way. i met the lovely marie francis, shrewd proprietress of

le fil de soie vintage shop in paris 6eme {37 rue de vaugirard}, who was warm + welcoming and open to discussing all manner of topics under the sun. she has a lovely little boutique filled with antique housewares, vintage postcards, elegant scarves from days of yore, handmade soaps + all things lovely. if you're ever in the area, stop by + say hi.

{eco mode: when i'm not wandering, i'm reading or sewing. wearing a midi skirt that i hand crafted from a vintage, diaphanous textile dotted with pale flowers. usually i'm not one to wear floral patterns, but this understated + delicate fabric caught my eye at an estate sale for $3, and in my mind i reimagined it as a flowing skirt that i could wear with tanks in the summer time or layered over black tights and paired with my moto jacket during early fall days. i plan to take very good care of it. worn here with a ribbed cotton crop top from reformation}.
